A brand-new shopfront improvement scheme has launched in Bolsover, giving eligible businesses the chance to refresh their frontages and help brighten up the town centre. Funded through a £15million regeneration programme running until 2028, the scheme aims to restore Bolsover’s historic charm, boost footfall, reduce anti-social behaviour, and support the independent shops that make the high street unique.
From fresh paint and new signage to full façade makeovers, each property will be assessed individually to create the biggest impact. It’s all part of the Council’s wider commitment to backing local businesses and strengthening pride in the town.
Councillor Tom Munro said the scheme is about giving the high street the visibility and quality it deserves, encouraging shop owners to think creatively about how they’d like to improve their frontages.
