If you’re looking for a lovely walk with a bit of history, then walks don’t come much better than this. As you start your adventure, you will pass through the Rowthorne Local Nature Reserve, which is great for wildlife, woodlands, wildflower meadows, limestone terraces, pools and wetlands.
History lovers can pick up a leaflet of circular walks, which start at Rowthorne car park before taking in areas of the Hardwick Estate. A must-see during your walk is the magnificent Elizabethan country house, Hardwick Hall, which was the residing home for Bess of Hardwick during the late 1500s.
