Bolsover is surrounded by coal mining heritage and Pleasley Pit’s heritage museum is a great place to see what it was like to be a miner! Dating back to the 1870s, this old mine still retains its headstocks, engine houses and steam winders, all of which are available to browse around.
Following your mining tour, you can walk around the dedicated Nature Reserve, where you will find ponds, a bird hide and numerous wildlife.
