Step back into Victorian Bolsover with a true Baroness…
The Baroness spent almost a decade at Welbeck Abbey, enjoying frequent visits to Bolsover Castle and Bolsover Parish Church, where her late husband and other members of her family lay entombed in the magnificent Cavendish Chapel and Crypt.
The beautiful East Window in Bolsover Parish Church is dedicated to her memory.
She was the one and only Baroness of Bolsover. Today her spirit dramatically returns in the form of actress Linda Jane Holmes.
In true Victorian style and much to the delight of residents and visitors alike, the reincarnated Baroness now hosts a unique Tour of Bolsover during the summer months along with instructing the nation on the art of Victorian Afternoon Tea Etiquette at events throughout the year.
Having initially been sadly overlooked in a former life, Baroness Bolsover is now a fascinating ‘living history experience’, greeted with courtesy and curiosity as she strolls the historic streets of her beloved Bolsover town. And this time, she’s here to stay!
