The Bolsover & District Branch of the Royal British Legion (RBL) warmly invites members of the community, local organisations, and the press to attend the official Dedication Ceremony for its brand-new Branch Standard on Saturday, 12th September 2026, set against the historic backdrop of Bolsover Castle.
The ceremonial dedication marks a significant milestone for the local branch, symbolising community pride, remembrance, and the ongoing commitment of the Royal British Legion to support armed forces personnel, veterans, and their families.
The event schedule is as follows:
- Arrival: From 9:30AM
- Ceremony Begins: 10:30 AM
Following the official ceremony, guests and visitors are invited to remain in the castle grounds for a celebration event, offering an opportunity to socialise and connect with branch members and representatives from local community groups.
The event is family-friendly and open to all members of the public. Bolsover Castle remains open to the public on the day. Attendees are kindly asked to respect the importance of the ceremony and the castle’s historic surroundings.
