On Sunday 31 August, from 10am to 4pm, Bolsover town centre will be transformed into a lively medieval marketplace as we celebrate 800 years since Bolsover was granted its Market Charter in 1226.
Expect a full day of family-friendly entertainment, with medieval storytelling bringing historic tales to life, live medieval music filling the streets, and colourful character walkabouts creating a truly immersive atmosphere. Little ones and grown-ups alike can enjoy puppet shows throughout the day, while a range of medieval traders join our traditional Bolsover market, offering a unique mix of goods, crafts and local produce.
