Sitting at the southern end of the Five Pits Trail is Tibshelf Ponds.
These ponds are at the centre of the Phoenix Greenways network, linking some of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire’s most beautiful landscapes. From here, you can discover trails and country parks on foot or by bike. Tibshelf Ponds is an ideal starting point for horseback exploration with its specially designed gallop and horse box parking.
For anyone who fancies a spot of fishing, the fishery is open all year, and day tickets are available.
Tibshelf Village is between junctions 28 and 29 of the M1. This countryside site is a short walk from Tibshelf Village on the Five Pits Trail. Join the trail where it crosses High Street (B6014) close to the Wheatsheaf Public House.
